What is prp?

Platelet rich plasma, or prp, is an innovative treatment that uses the patients own plasma to support and stimulate natural healing, renewal, and cellular growth.

How does it work?

PRP, directly injected, or applied topically in conjunction with microneedling during treatment, promotes and accelerates the patient’s own production of collagen and elastin, works to regenerate and revitalize the patients skin and tissue, and thus acts as a restorative aesthetic treatment to naturally smooth and tighten the skin and aesthetically improve the patient’s skin and soft tissue.

Applied topically, PRP softens wrinkles and creates a smoother, rejuvenated skin texture and tone. PRP has been scientifically proven to impact skin texture, tone, color and overall presentation. When PRP is directly injected into the patient’s soft tissue, results typically present in restored fullness revealing a more youthful and healthier presentation.

How often should i get this done?

We encourage each patient to schedule a series of three treatments, approximately four weeks apart, to realize the most significant results.

PRP treatment can last 6-12 months depending on each patients physiology.

Once the patient completes the initial series of treatments, maintenance appointments are recommended annually.

While even a single application is considered safe and effective, scientific research, as well as our own patient feedback, notes the most results oriented treatment is a series of three treatments scheduled over three months.

There is no current contraindication to treatment more frequently. However, a minimum of two weeks between treatments, for each area treated, is required.
